A photo journal of part of my first weekend in LA

Friends....@ the suggestion of my dearest friend Reid, I am attempting to bring back my blogging skillz with the re-creation of 2Per$ian...

As some of you may know, i'll be in LA for most of this summer and am currently here for 2 weeks interning at a production company. As LA for me is a "trial" to see if i'd want to live here, I'm spending my weekends and nights exploring the greater things this fine city has to offer. Heres a quick photo blog of some things that I did today, that I would think are more "unique" to LA....

After brunch I hit up Melrose to check out some shoe/clothes shops...found this gem in a skate shop..all the chapelle fans out there will recognize this puppy..

Custom Kicks store. you bring in an idea, design, picture they will paint it on a shoe for you...gotta figure out what i want..

store. only sells hats. amazing. the one next to it was similar but with a full skate bowl in it..

...just my color! I swear on every street corner there is another $100k+ car. Seen so many bently's it hurts...

after the huge lakers win, I ended the night with my long lost college roomate Eric at a beverly hills cigar bar. After a few comments to show him that I was an afficianado, he opened up the back "secrete" humidor FULL of amazing CUBANS!!!!

i'd say a good day in LA>>....

Welcome to my new blogo!

So this is my second try at a personal blog, the first came when I was in Spain keeping friends and family and admirers updated on how and what I was doing (www.jugadorcinco.blogspot.com). ...this one is hopefully a bit different, less about my actual physical happenings and hopefully delving deeper into my internal life...questions, concerns, ideas, thoughts, beliefs, hopes, ext.

Introspection is something that I'm bad at. I find that I really dont just THINK about things, or question some things that I believe or have believed in. I've had friends and family who do this, who push me in this way, and I feel like its a really healthy excercise....one that i dont do enough... But I'm hoping that this blog will be a way to do this on my own in a somewhat frequent fashion. I must also somewhat credit this idea to my friend Nitin and his blog (http://gawkingatclouds.blogspot.com/2009/05/food-for-thought.html)...hes a bit eccentric and waaay to introspective, sometimes to a point of rediculousness, so i'll take it a bit slower.

In other news, the name of the blog comes from 2pac...music is a huge inspiration in my life, and I'm sure i'll talk about it more, but 2pac is pretty much my hands down favorite...and I'm 2 persian...so I think it works...

Hopefully I can write maybe once a week, i dont have much going on in my life so I think thats doable...
